Strasbourg
La
construction de la nouvelle cathédrale est entreprise
après 1176: le choeur flanqué de chapelles à deux
étages et le transept furent achevés vers 1240; la nef
fut alors bâtie sous l'influence du style gothique
français jusqu'en 1275 et, en 1277, la façade fut
commencée par Erwin de Steinbach.

Strasbourg
The
new cathedral of Strasbourg was started after 1176: the chancel,
surrounded by two-story chapels, and the transept were finished around
1240; the French Gothic styled nave was built until 1275 and, in 1277,
the façade was started by Erwin von Steinbach.
